Photoshoot in Hotel Versace for Eyecare Plus Ltd. National Office Conference on the Gold Coast. Corp
I was called last week by Yvette from Eyecare Plus to come and photograph a conference they where holding in La Medussa Ballrom of Hotel Versace on the Gold Coast. It was a bit of a challenge as usual, no jobs are easy. The ambient light was not strong enough to get a decent shot, so we had to fill in the light with flash strobes. La Medussa Ballroom is huge, so that was a difficult task to make the light look natural. On top of that we had 32 people attending the conference, and they where engaged in there own business, but her at Marcos Welsh Photography, we always get the job done on the first go!

Here I have the group around the table and also the group shot sitting down.
Checking out exposure, and by my side Fofo holding the second camera with the 70-200 2.8. Behind us is a umbrella 180cm that we used to slightly fill in the room. At the back of the room we used two soft boxes bounced of the ceiling to also fill in, in this way we managed to achieve a nice lighting.
Here behind us we have one of the soft boxes pointing to the ceiling.

Setting up the photographic gear.
Here are some of the corporate photography I did for this conference. La Medussa Room in the Versace Hotel was not very well illuminated, so I had to set up flash strobes. Normally, I would like to photograph this sort of event with some sort of natural light, but here at Marcos Welsh Photography we are able to find solutions to all situations inside venues or outdoors.
The Group photo, we also did a standing up Group Shot a bit more casual.
The company wanted casual spontaneous shots that did not all look posed, so once the lighting was set up I started walking around. I had two cameras rigged up, one camera with a 24-70mm 2.8 and another one with the 70-200mm 2.8. My assistant was walking behind me and we where exchanging cameras when needed.
Some of the casual unposed shots of the corporate meeting, at the end I managed to blend in with the group and they all felt comfortable with me walking around.
